Today, window sills and tables in the Chapel were decorated with an array of fabulous goodies, ranging from fresh fruit and vegetables, to cereals, pasta, chocolates, biscuits and tinned food, ready for our annual Harvest Festival celebrations.

The Chapel Choir were in fine form and the whole school enjoyed singing the traditional Harvest hymn ‘We Plough the Fields and Scatter’.

Harvest Festival is a traditional event celebrating the successful gathering of the year’s crops. Often celebrated in churches and schools, people are encouraged to donate produce, fruit and vegetables to those in need. The Harvest Festival is a time for feasting, celebrating and giving thanks. It is also a time for us to honour those who grow and reap crops.

Many thanks to our pupils and their families for all the generous donations received.  These will be given to a local foodbank.
