We love to meet new families and would be delighted for you to come and visit Cranleigh Prep. Our friendly and experienced admissions team will be on hand to offer support and guidance throughout every step of the admissions process.
We love welcoming prospective students and their families to Cranleigh Prep, so we encourage you to book in to one of our open events. These include a comprehensive tour of the school, the opportunity to meet informally with the Head and to hear from current students. We are also happy to arrange individual visits during the working week.
If you like what you see on the first visit, please register via our Admissions Portal. Parents should register their child via the online portal and pay the £200 fee. We recommend that families register as early as possible, ideally in Year 1.
Registered applicants will be invited to one of our Cranleigh Prep Explorers taster events in the Summer term of Year 1 or Michaelmas (Autumn) term of Year 2. Explorers events allow children to meet Prep school staff and familiarise themselves with our campus. Explorers activities have included bushcraft, indoor climbing, astronaut training and archery. Parents are invited to join for drinks and meet the Head and staff informally. Advance booking is essential.
We are not a ruthlessly selective school, but we want to ensure that Cranleigh Prep will be a good match for your son or daughter. Our Assessment Day takes place in November of Year 2. It includes an informal conversation in groups, a creative writing paper, maths assessment and some fun team-building activities. We ask for a report from your child’s current school in advance.
We will make offers shortly after the November Assessment Day. We are in the fortunate position of receiving more applications than we have places, so we make offers to those we feel will thrive academically and make a positive contribution to the wider Cranleigh Prep community.
