Our House System promotes teamwork, togetherness and a healthy dose of competition. When they arrive, every pupil joins one of our four houses: Clubs, Diamonds, Spades or Hearts. Our children derive a great sense of community from belonging to a house and it gives the older pupils an opportunity to lead a team and act as good role models.

House points can be gained through hard work, good behaviour and being a good friend to others. The marks for academic endeavour on end of term class reports also contribute to a House’s overall points score as they are added to the running total.

Valuable additional points are awarded for participating in House competitions, such as the House hockey or rugby matches, the music or handwriting competitions or for being a member of the orchestra or choir, for taking a role in a school play, or for being in a position of responsibility.

There is a lovely sense of competition between the Houses and the announcement of the termly tally is eagerly awaited by children and staff.

This is very much a family school.
