Form 1 were enthralled with their visit from Zoolab today.

In today’s workshop our pupils took a journey through the Rainforest starting at the bottom and working up the four layers from forest floor, understory, canopy and emergent to learn about the creatures that might live in each.

Our pupils were introduced to Turbo, a Giant African Land snail, Rosie the Tarantula (both of whom live on the forest floor), Mike the Madagascan Hissing Cockroach, Echo the Gecko and William the Boa Constrictor! The Zoolab Ranger told them lots of interesting information about these animals and those who dared were able to touch them, apart from the Tarantula, of course!

The children learnt a huge amount from the visit and we are very grateful to Zoolab for bringing the Rainforest to CPS today!

For over 20 years, ZooLab have amazed, educated and inspired through their ethical and engaging hands-on animal encounters.
