In our LAUNCH (Learning and Understanding New Challenging Horizons) sessions, our Head Mr Brooks, gave pupils a fascinating insight into the history and set up of the RNLI.
The pupils learnt about the different types of lifeboats, equipment and clothing that are used and how people train to become a RNLI volunteer. They were made aware of the unpredictability of the sea and how to make good choices when visiting the beach or doing coastal path walks.
They had the opportunity to ask questions and also try the lifeboat crew clothing on.
