Yesterday our U13A girls hockey team travelled to Cheltenham College to take part in the IAPS National Finals after qualifying at the Regional Tournaments last month.

What a tremendous day our team had. They played four teams in the pool stages winning three and conceding just the one match. This saw the team qualify for the Cup Quarter Finals where they first faced Taunton School. This match saw a 1-1 draw so they played until the Golden Goal was scored which was by Cranleigh. This meant they qualified for the semi’s where they faced Repton School where again there was a 0-0 draw so the team faced another Golden Goal situation which sadly didn’t go in Cranleigh’s favour.

This saw them play their final match of the day in the 3rd/ 4th play off in the Cup. The final result was Cranleigh finished 4th in the National Finals; an amazing achievement.  Well done girls.
