A stunning rainbow joined the Form 4 and Form 5 girls’ Football Club yesterday!  This runs at 4:35pm every Thursday and will continue for as long as the light allows. It will then resume again when the light reappears in the new year.

The numbers continue to grow for Form 4 and 5 girls’ football at Cranleigh Prep. Since it was introduced as a separate activity for the girls in 2018, the enthusiasm for the sport has increased dramatically. Well over 20 girls train and play every week, improving their base skill levels and tactical awareness.

Many girls have never played before joining and their rapid improvement makes their enjoyment greater. Last year we played competitive fixtures against local primary schools; we had booked in similar afternoons this year, but sadly these have had to be cancelled due to restrictions.

As soon as we are able to, we will be reorganising our girls’ football fixtures, as putting their skills into representing the School is the end result.
