Educated at Grosvenor Grammar School Belfast and the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. Has spent over 30 years in the Parachute Regiment including operational deployments to Northern Ireland, Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan. Dad to two children both at Cranleigh Senior School, and owner of a small black Labrador.
Interests: Irish rugby, shooting, military history, aggressive gardening and skiing badly.
