We were delighted to welcome 22 girls from Halstead School for our Dance & Netball Masterclass recently. They were joined by 11 CPS Form 3 (Year 5) girls.
The day started with the girls learning an energetic dance routine taught by our amazing Head of Dance, Ms Kimberley Vowles, involving rhythm, movement and the ability to piece it all together!
After the Dance activity the girls walked across to the Senior School to enjoy a delicious lunch before embarking on the Netball workshop hosted by Ms Sam Houghton, Director of Netball, Senior School. Ms Houghton is also a Surrey Storm Pathway coach working with the U17’s this year. During this activity the girls practiced their netball feet as well as shooting activity before embarking on some 7 a-side matches- a new experience given that U10’s have only played Bee Netball this year!
The day finished with a Q&A session led by Charlotte, a current Surrey Storm U19 player, who shared her enthusiasm and knowledge of the game with the pupils.
All the girls and visiting staff had a wonderful day.
