Four of our Chamber Choir members were busy singing in national ensembles during the Easter holidays.

Cecilia B and Dominic S were singing in the National Children’s Choir, Anise R was singing in the National Youth Girls’ Choir and Thomas U was singing in the National Youth Boys’ Choir. Each of them had a wonderful opportunity to sing together with like-minded musicians, with tuition from expert choral directors. They learned new repertoire and performed a selection of their pieces for families and friends at the end of their courses.

In the summer holidays they will attend their next residential course to continue their learning.

Chamber Choir member, Bella S, who is a chorister at Guildford Cathedral also had a busy Easter holidays singing 5 services over Holy Week attended by the Bishops of Guildford and Dorking as well as being broadcast online.  She has a busy term ahead with the Cathedral including being conducted by John Rutter, on Saturday 21st May in a performance of his piece, ‘The Gift of Life’ with orchestra, as well as filming for BBC’s Songs of Praise on Tuesday 3rd May.
