The Lower School were treated to an exceptional concert last week; Inner City Brass came and played a range of fascinating music for Brass Quintet. Each performer explained about the mechanics of their instrument and what role it took within the group and the wider musical world.

The children were fascinated to see and hear such a lot of interesting sounds, with the recognised favourite being the tuba! We all had to prove our ability to listen carefully in one fugal piece, standing up and sitting down in response to whether it was the trumpet, trombone or horn that was holding the melody. This opportunity to hear high quality, live professional music is a great treat and one that the whole audience valued enormously, including our visiting pupils from Peponi Prep, Nairobi.
