Last week, we celebrated our inter-house swimming competition which can only be described as the hottest event of the year!

The Swimming Department ran four separate events throughout the day, the first started at 9.30am with the largest attendance of Form 3 and 4 pupils swimming a mixed programme of events.

Diamonds – 2nd
Clubs – 3rd
Spades – 4th

The second gala was the Form 5 & 6 Girls programme where this year we introduced a new rule to wearing “the best brightly coloured swim costume” this was certainly well-received.

Gala 2 – Results
Diamonds – 1st
Hearts – 2nd
Spades – 3rd
Clubs – 4th

Following directly after this was the very loud and boisterous Form 5 & 6 Boys programme where the noise volume lifted to a new stratospheric level and could be heard all over Cranleigh School campus. What a result for Spades “Success comes to those who wait”. Well done.

Gala 3 – Results

Finally the Lower School finished the day off with a gentle programme of individual timed events and a sprinkling of relays. It was a perfect ending to a long day on poolside with the House Tutors happy to see so many children taking part, cheering friends and smiling.

Congratulation to Diamonds once again with their winning hattrick.
