At the end of the Michaelmas term, 11 CPS pupils travelled to Les Menuires in the ‘Les 3 Vallées’ ski area of France for the First Snow School Ski Racing Championships.

The children enjoyed training with their instructors, exploring the neighbouring areas of Meribel and Courchevel, and finally competing in slalom, giant slalom and team parallel slalom events at the Stade de Slalom Olympique in Les Menuires.

We were really proud of all our competitors, especially those racing for the first time. Particular congratulations go to James S (Form 5) for finishing 10th in the slalom out of over 120 skiers from schools across Britain in the U18 category. In the senior parallel team slalom, 3 CPS skiers (James S, Raffy P and Olivia F) teamed up with 3 skiers from Cranleigh School, and achieved a super semi-final finish.

The team were fantastic ambassadors for Cranleigh Prep School, and a really enjoyable time was had by all.
