At the weekend our Boy’s 1st football team headed over to the annual Parkside 7’s tournament unsure of how they would perform, after a chastening loss mid-week.  However, every single player performed exceptionally, winning both group matches 3-0, followed by close victories in both the Quarter Final and Semi Final matches.

Facing the hosts in the final was always going to be a difficult challenge, but CPS went 1-0 up after a wonderfully worked goal.  Tired legs ended up just getting the better of us in the second half and Parkside came away as deserved 3-1 winners.  Runners-up with a young side exceeded all expectations and gives a positive feeling for the rest of the season.
