A Boarders BBQ is always popular. A Boarders BBQ followed by games of inflatable human table football is even better. Then add an ice cream van and you have an evening that cannot be beaten!
On a lovely May evening the Boarders were cooked up a treat of burgers, halloumi and chorizo kebabs, barbecued vegetables, sausages and more. They then went to put their table football skills to the ultimate test, as they were to be the actual players on the pitch!
Fun was had by all of the Boarders as this event combined outrageous hilarity with a real team building element too – it was lovely to see such great interaction between the year groups. The boarding team also got involved and could not wait to show off their football prowess!! Had scouts been present there would have definitely been signings to big clubs….
As if all this excitement was not enough, at half time there was the scream of ‘ICE CREAM!’ as the visiting ice cream van played the ‘Match of the Day’ theme tune to announce its arrival. Everyone joined the queue for ice cream and having revived themselves with Flake 99s headed back to the Human Table football pitch for some more games before heading wearily off to the dorms.
