As part of the ACE program (After Common Entrance), Form 6 took part in a photography workshop run by Mrs Lillie Spibey (our school photographer). The pupils explored a range of techniques using their school iPads to take creative photographs. They covered macro photography, landscape photography, action photography and portrait photography.

The students learned more about using focus, light, the rule of thirds, timing, the burst setting, the self-timer and the panoramic setting. It was a lovely morning spent outdoors capturing different elements in the school grounds.

The photos taken were amazing.  Lillie said ‘I was impressed with all the student’s images, and it was great to see so much creativity’.

There were two winners, Alfie and Alexis, who each won a copy of Lillie’s children’s book commissioned by Harper Collins – ‘You can take great photos’.

Thank you, Lillie, for taking the time to run the workshop.
