One of the many joys of being in a 7-18 school is the progression you see from the Prep School up to the Senior School. On Tuesday 8th March, the Lower School pupils were treated to a visit from the Senior School Big Band, many of whom started learning their instruments at CPS.

It was a wonderful concert of Big Band classics, which had the pupils bopping along to the music! Mr Eaglestone, Head of Woodwind and Brass, directed the band with flair as well as giving a flamboyant and inspiring trombone demonstration.

In the Music Department, we pride ourselves on building our musicians from the Prep School upwards, reaping the rewards of fine musicianship at Senior School level. Nowhere was that better highlighted than by this concert.

We are hugely grateful to Mr Eaglestone and the Big Band for taking the time to visit us and for inspiring our young musicians.
