On Tuesday 22nd June CPS musicians took to the stage for an exciting day of recording. The children, now seasoned professionals in the art of recording, played brilliantly and were totally unfazed by the cameras and red lights.

With nearly twenty ensembles and choirs throughout the day, we were treated to a wonderfully eclectic programme of music. Some particular highlights were the pure joy demonstrated by the Lower School Choir as they sang ‘I Love To Sing!’ as well as the polished and tight performance of the Form 4 Band playing ‘Joshua Fit The Battle Of Jericho’.

The Form 5 Strings were exceptional under the direction of our Head of Strings, Kevin Weaver, and the Middle School percussionists had lots of fun playing buckets!

It was wonderful to hear how well the Form 6 groups performed in their last concert at CPS; Tara M. and Rebecca P. gave an outstanding performance of ‘Mind Games’ – a song that they composed themselves.

All departments and year groups were well represented and we look forward to next term when we hope to welcome back an audience to share our music with.
