Many congratulations to our Form 6 girls who came 2nd out of 21 schools at the Surrey Starburst ‘Smash-it’ U14 Girls Cricket Tournament.

The girls played two 8 over group matches, the first v St. George’s Weybridge, which they won by 28 runs and the second v Gordon’s School which they won by 58 runs.

This put them through to the semi-final v Kingsdale School which they won by 29 runs to progress to the final v Alleyn’s. Alleyn’s team were considerably stronger than CPS and, although the girls tried really hard, they couldn’t quite match the other team and finished as worthy runners-up.

Alison Jolly, Director of Sport, says ‘Everyone played very well and enjoyed the whole tournament. I am really proud of our U13 girls, who won the silver medal, even though they were playing against predominantly U14 teams.’
