Form 6 visited Pitch Hill on Thursday 5th November to carry out the fieldwork component of their current Geography study of erosion.
We were blessed with glorious weather for fieldwork – dry and bright (if a little chilly!) which made the process of carrying out practical fieldwork all the easier and more pleasurable.
Pupils were actively engaged in carrying out investigations of footpath erosion on the hill and all cooperated well and were fully involved in the experiments on site. The results of this inquiry will form a part of their Michaelmas Humanities assessment.
Huge thanks to the instructors from the Sayers Croft Trust who led the pupils through the experiments.
