Form 3 are currently comparing the Christian and Hindu faiths in Humanities.

Last week they were shown round the Senior School Chapel by the Chaplain, Tim Lewis. This week they visited the Hindu Mandir in Neasden, in order to compare places of worship.

They were shown around the Mandir and learnt how Hindus worship by observing an Arti ceremony. They also participated in a Q&A session, demonstrating how much they had learnt about Hindu beliefs and practices, including the doctrine which leads Hindus to treat animals well and that many are vegetarian.

To complete the cultural experience they visited the Mandir’s own restaurant for an authentic vegetarian Indian lunch. Many children tried something completely new; samosas and paneer tikka masala proved particularly popular!
