On Friday 24th January, Cranleigh Prep School held the annual House Cross Country.
The weather conditions were perfect for the event. However, the course was very wet and muddy underfoot, making for tough racing.
Form 1 and 2 ran 1km, Middle school ran 2km and the Upper school completed the 3km race.
Being a whole school event there was fantastic support from the onlooking parents. The winners in each year group were as follows:
Form 6: Isobel Powell & Jamie Tappin
Form 5: Rosanna Muddle & Sebastian Stevenson
Form 4: Bethan Lewis & Charlie Cope
Form 3: Jessica Freear & Eddie Hey
Form 2: Darcey Dixon & Zac Hobbs
Form 1: Ceci Bridgwood & Oliver Dann
The overall winners were:
1st Clubs – 395
2nd Diamonds – 378
3rd Spades – 351
4th Hearts – 294
Dudley Manning, Head of Cross Country, says “Well done to everyone who took part and good luck to the 72 boys and girls who will be competing in the inter schools competition at Eagle House this Friday”.
