A warm welcome to our incoming Headmaster, Neil Brooks, currently Principal of Fulham Prep Schools and previously Head of Cothill House.

Current Headmaster, Mike Wilson, will be stepping down at the end of the Summer term 2018. Happily for Cranleigh he will not be leaving the Cranleigh family of schools but will join Cranleigh Abu Dhabi as Headmaster, from July 2018.

Neil is very much looking forward to joining CPS in the new academic year and commented: “I have known and respected the school and its current leadership and am excited to continue to build on the exceptional ethos they have created. As educators we carry the weightiest responsibility; to steer children towards becoming successful and confident adults who will form and contribute towards tomorrow’s society. Cranleigh’s genuine desire to see each child thrive, be tolerant and balanced, yet know their own minds is hugely appealing; I look forward to serving the school and its pupils.”

Following a notable early career as an Army Officer on active service, Mr Brooks began his twenty year career in education as a Housemaster at Cothill House, becoming Headmaster there in 2003. During his ten years at Cothill he raised the school to an enviable position as a prominent and popular boarding choice. Afterwards he helped to set up other initiatives within the Cothill Trust, covering eight preparatory schools. He went on to work with the Natural History Museum to deliver science courses combined with boarding experiences for inner-London children and briefly became Principal of the Trust, before joining Fulham Prep Schools as Principal.
