October in order to extend their knowledge and experience of life in Tudor times. It was a great way to bring ‘history to life!’
Each group visited the Apartments of Henry VIII and looked at the kitchens in which the many feasts were prepared for the King and his Court.
Every pupil followed a detective trail around the Tudor palace and looked for evidence that would give further insight into Henry VIII and the life of his courtiers. We also took part in a Tudor Workshop in the Great Hall: a real highlight of the day.
Thankfully the weather was fine which meant we could picnic in the gardens and explore the magnificent palace grounds. Overall a fantastic trip and also well recommended for a family day out!
