Form 3 were fortunate to be able to visit the Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, a Hindu temple in Neasden, London at the end of their studies of this major world religion. Built entirely using traditional methods and materials, the Swaminarayan Mandir has been described as being Britain’s first authentic Hindu temple.

We were all made to feel very welcome in the temple and we observed an Arti ceremony and had the opportunity to see the beautiful marble structure that was built by the British Hindu community in the early 1990’s. At the end of the trip, everyone said that it had been a magnificent experience and a very worthwhile excursion.
