The School was very lucky to receive a visit from Mr Houston, Director of Rugby, and Harry Barlow, former CPS pupil, today to talk about rugby this morning.

Mr Britt had the chance to interview Harry about what has been going on with him since the last time we saw him. He spoke of the amazing achievement that Cranleigh School’s 1st VII had achieved in retaining the National Sevens’ title at Rosslyn Park in March and how unbelievable an experience it had been to repeat this feat.

After this, we had an opportunity to hear all about his successes in the England U17 team this season. We also found out all about what an international day would be like from start to finish, including eating lots at breakfast time!

We were also surprised with some further good news that Harry has just been selected to play for the England U18 Rugby Sevens’ team at the Junior Commonwealth Games in the Bahamas this July. Another amazing achievement made all the more impressive as Harry will be playing for his country a year above himself.

We wish him the very best of luck and thank both him and Mr Houston for taking the time to come over and see us. It is so wonderful to see our former pupils, especially when they have such great news to tell us.
