On Saturday the Form 2 children became NASA engineers for their Rocket Theme day and were tasked with the project of constructing space rockets and re-entry capsules. Points were scored on a range of criteria including: distance travelled, aerodynamics, floatability, quality of landing and ease of access for their eggonaut.

The children worked in small groups and were given 20 minutes to discuss and draw their designs. Once planning permission was granted, they had 60 minutes to construct their winning designs. Below is a selection of photos from the day.

Congratulations to the following winning teams!

‘Rocket’ – Winning Team

Ezra M, Jamie T, Alexandra R, Annie V

 ‘Re-entry Capsule’ – Winning Team

Theo D, Jacob F, Aine F & Ruby K
