March.  Fourteen schools took part, split into two sections of seven, with each school playing six matches within their group to qualify for the semi-finals.  The CPS team drew 4-4 against Hurstpierpoint  and won all of their other matches against Dulwich Prep, Cumnor House, Feltonfleet and Bede’s, with a particularly exciting game against Brambletye, which CPS ended up winning 6-4.  Having finished first in their group, the team were already through to the nationals.  They went on to play Holmewood House in the semi-finals, winning convincingly 11-2, before meeting Windlesham House in the finals.  This proved to be an exhilarating game: although down 2-3 at half-time, CPS went on to win 9-4 due to some excellent, very controlled play, with formidable defenders Annie A and Jess M, in addition to some great shooting from Maddie G in the second half, crowning them South Regional champions.

Many congratulations to the whole U12 squad for some superb team work. We wish the squad,  Maddie G, Matilda B, Matilda H, Imogen P, Olivia B, Bella B, Jess M, Annabel A, Francesca S and Grace C the very best of luck at the nationals this Saturday, 12th March.IMG_4702
