We had an excellent start to the House Music Competition Finals this evening, with some splendid playing in the Woodwind and Brass categories. There was a wide range of styles and a huge variety of instruments on display from oboes, French horns and flutes to trombones, trumpets and clarinets. On the basis of the competition performance today, prizes were awarded to Bea R (Diamonds) for her lively recorder playing, Moog C (Hearts) for his rhythmic saxophone work and Max D (Diamonds) for some very cool jazz on the trumpet!
