Simon Weaver

Simon was born in South Africa and had the privilege of attending
two leading independent schools (Cordwalles and Michaelhouse).

He then went on to University where he did a B.A. and an
H.D.E.His specialist teaching subjects
were Maths and Counselling. Later, he studied part-time and obtained his Honours
degree in Psychology and an MEd in Educational Management at Wits University.

He initially taught Mathematics and Additional Mathematics to
Matric level at Parktown Boys High and St John’s College. He has coached Hockey,
Cricket, Rugby, Football and Athletics. Simon was appointed as the Deputy
Headmaster at the Ridge in 1995.

He then spent the next 25 years as the Headmaster of three leading
Independent Boys’ Prep Schools in South Africa namely Pridwin (5years),
Cordwalles (12years) and Western Province Prep School (7years).

In 2022, Simon moved to the UK and taught for a
term at Cumnor House Sussex before being appointed as a Mathematics teacher at
Cranleigh

He has a special interest in Educational Leadership, Social and Emotional Learning and Bullying in
schools.

He is married to Karen who is an Industrial Psychologist and
works as an executive coach and Leadership Development consultant.

Simon loves sport and more specifically cycling.
