Sheila Smith

Mrs Sheila Smith works as part of the team caring for pupils and teachers at Cranleigh School. Her role includes providing care for those pupils who are unable to attend school and need to be admitted to the Medical Centre. Mrs Smith looks after pupils with all injuries, whether minor or more serious, gives vaccinations in the immunisation clinics and assists the GPs and Sports Consultant during their pupil consultations.

Mrs Smith qualified in 1983 and, following her Registration, obtained the Orthopaedic Nursing Diploma. She has worked in many areas of the NHS, including Paediatric and Adult Orthopaedic Units, Urology, Gynaecology and A&E. She worked as a Practice Nurse in the Community before joining Cranleigh School approximately nine years ago.

There is never an average day but that’s what Mrs Smith enjoys! Every day is different.

Mrs Smith loves being a member of the team! They all support each other and are constantly improving the care they deliver to the pupils on a daily basis.
