Mahaliah Edwards-Whiting

Mrs Mahaliah Edwards-Whiting is on the Cranleigh Music team at the Senior and Prep Schools. She graduated as a violinist from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire after studying at the Purcell School for Young Musicians. She has recently completed The Teaching Musician Master’s degree at Trinity Laban Conservatoire.

Alongside her work at Cranleigh, Mrs Edwards-Whiting enjoys a busy and varied portfolio career as a musician and educator. She is a founder member of the Dunev Quartet and continues to perform and collaborate with musical artists in various genres and musical traditions. She has performed a diverse range of concert venues including Symphony Hall, Winchester Cathedral and many UK festivals. Being an advocate for music education, Mrs Edwards-Whiting sits on the board of trustees for the Independent Society of Musicians . She regularly sits on panels and gives talks on music education and diversity within the classical industry. Mrs Edwards-Whiting enjoys going to live music concerts, learning Spanish and spending time with her greyhound and husband.
