Jacob Harrison

The Rev’d Jacob Harrison has been Chaplain to Cranleigh senior and prep schools since September 2021.

Rev Harrison arrived at Cranleigh having spent a number of years in parish ministry as well as enjoying roles within the chaplaincies of the University of Cambridge and in an inner city London school, right at the heart of Hackney. Before this he worked in property management and development in the East Midlands.

Rev Harrison heads up the chaplaincy team and combines that with teaching Philosophy, Ethics and Religious Studies at both prep and senior. He is also a very keen sportsman with a particular passion for football. Having never been quite sure what to study at university, Rev Harrison holds a degree in Philosophy, another in Theology and is working towards a third in Psychology and the Neuroscience of Mental Health.

Rev Harrison was introduced to the Christian faith as a teenager and after many years of scepticism, became a follower of Jesus whilst studying philosophy at university and writing his dissertation on the problem of evil.
