Helen Brice

Helen Brice joined Cranleigh Prep School in September 2020 as Head of Maths. She is currently also a Form 6 tutor and also oversees the assessments pupils take as part of their applications to senior school.

Helen obtained a degree in Psychology from the University of Durham before going to Cambridge (Homerton College) to obtain a PGCE. She has taught in both state Primary Schools and Independent Prep Schools in her teaching career of over 20 years. Although she has taught all National Curriculum subjects, she been a specialist maths teacher since 2007. Over her career Helen has had a number of roles in the schools in which she has worked including: Head of Department, Assistant House Parent, Head of Boarding and Deputy Head Academic which enable her to have a broad and balanced understanding of all aspects of school life and be in a strong position to support all pupils both academically and pastorally. Away from the classroom Helen enjoys music, playing a number of instruments, camping and walking, trips to the theatre and spending time with her husband and two daughters.
