Chapel is a focal point of the school where all teachers and pupils gather together.
In Chapel we pause from the rush of the hectic term: to sing, to think, to listen – to broaden our perspectives from the inevitable occupations of school life. Eyes and hearts are encouraged not only to look in, but to look up and out.
The Chaplaincy team is passionate about connecting the truth and wisdom of the Christian tradition, found especially in the Bible, to young people in contemporary society. A range of speakers aim to challenge, encourage and grow each member of the community in their spiritual development.
Alongside our weekly Whole School Chapel Service pupils have the opportunity on Friday mornings at Explore to chat about the themes of Chapel that week. Open to Middle and Upper School pupils Rev’d Harrison and Miss Sellers lead a short Bible based discussion, followed by the inaugural Challenge the Chaplain game where pupils set a challenge and compete against the Rev! Those of faith or none are welcome to join us on Friday.
