Over the first weekend of half term Cranleigh riders travelled to Buckinghamshire for the NSEA (National Schools Equestrian Association) National Championships, an event that this year attracted 750 riding combinations from schools around England, Scotland and Wales who between them jumped over 2000 rounds over four days of competition!

Sophia T (Form 5) joined her Senior School team members, all of whom are six years older, to clinch the Open Arena Eventing (Jumping with Style) national title, whilst also finishing as the highest individual from all the teams competing. Later the same day she was on the podium again after finishing individually third in the pony section of the Advanced Open Show Jumping. It was quite a day for her.

Both Ete M and Alex S also enjoyed the opportunity of competing at this event, gaining invaluable experience along the way, with Ete producing a clear round in a technically demanding Novice Arena Eventing class.
