Our Patron of Reading for 2023-4 is Lucy Strange and this week she made her first visit to our school.
Lucy makes mood boards for each book she writes so she can become immersed in the setting of that book while she writes.
Lucy narrates the audiobooks version of her own novels and has won an Audie in 2019 in New York.
She talked about her book The Ghost of Gosswater, a gothic adventure set in the Lake District and read a chilling passage to the pupils.
Lucy has set two competitions for our pupils to enter. There will be signed book prizes for winners and house points/carrots for everyone who enters.
We look forward to welcoming Lucy when she visits again in March 2024.
