As part of the Form 6 ACE (After Common Entrance) programme five professionals came and worked with our pupils through hands on workshops.
Pupils were able to choose two workshops over the duration of the morning where they learned about the profession, the career path you would need to take to qualify and then experienced an element of the job through a hands on task. Enjoyment was had by all.
Many thanks to the following professionals for giving up their time to come and lead interesting and interactive workshops for our pupils:
- Molly Naldrett co-chair of the Driven Women network and STEM Ambassador at McLaren Racing
- Chris Gray owner of Alder Veterinary Practice
- Dr Mahreen Pakzad. Consultant urological surgeon
- Katherine Higgins – Award winning architecture student
- Major Dan Reed – Trained to be an officer at Sandhurst. Regiment The Royal Welsh
