CPS v Cranmore Friendly Swim Gala – Form U8’ & U9’s

This was the Lower School Swim Team’s first away gala against Cranmore School an all boy team. Julie Doubtfire commented,” that the CPS team’s competitive spirit and poolside etiquette was impeccable and they should be very proud even if they did come 2nd overall.”

IAPS Preliminary Regional Swim Round

Last week, CPS hosted 4 schools in a IAPS Preliminary Regional Swim Round held at Cranleigh School pool where personal best times were recorded nationally with the top 20 children in each category,  qualifying through to the semi-finals. The qualifying list of swimmers will be released towards the end of April/beginning of May.

We thank all our dedicated officials for volunteering their time to come and judge this competition which would not happen without their help.

Good luck to all those swimmers pitching for a qualifying place – all fingers are crossed!

County Championships

Congratulations to Manon G-J’s for her hat-trick of gold medals for a second year running at the Surrey Championships in the 50m, 100m & 200m breaststroke events plus a new medal to add for the 200 IM race all these wins are an enormous achievement as every year it becomes more difficult to keep within the top three positions of this championship.  We wish Manon all the best with the SE Regional Championship later this year.

Congratulations also to Maddie M who in the recent Surrey County Championships, came 3rd overall in the finals of the 100 Free with a time of 1:08.90 (SC) (Bronze). She also came 3rd overall in the finals of the 50 breaststroke with a time of 43.80 (Bronze) and 3rd overall in the finals of the 400 free in 5:23.50 (Bronze).
