On Sunday 8th May, five local schools came together for the Annual Schools Gala held at the Cranleigh Leisure Centre in the hope to splash it out and reclaim the prestigious Girls & Boys Trophies.
With huge excitement and a hint of trepidation many of our Lower School children took their first dip into the world of competitive swimming. Adrenaline levels were stoked as high as the humidity on poolside and with a rush of unleashed kinetic energy every personal best time was broken that day.
A special mention to the U8 & U9’s combined teams who showed no fear and held middle to top positions throughout their events. A magnificent achievement to Rupert L who swam up a year group in the U10 events and sat comfortable in the top three places. Congratulations to Hunter G who won all his individual races and held strong as the anchor to secure a win in the relay. Thank you to U11 Boys team who stood their ground and secured 1st and 2nd positions against a sprinkling of club swimmers.
Well done to all the team, it was a good day!
