Just before the Easter holidays talented pupils in Form 4 at Cranleigh Prep School took LAMDA Acting Examinations. They included scenes from “The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe” and “The Wizard of Oz” through to “The Boy in Striped Pyjamas.” I’m delighted to announce that all 18 pupils achieved over 80% and were awarded Distinction.
Mr Phil Waller, Head of Drama, says “It is great to see so many CPS pupils taking up LAMDA at a young age and getting so much enjoyment and benefit from it. The additional acting skills they learn in their lessons with Mrs Merrett is clear to see, not only from the excellent results they are achieving in their LAMDA exams, but also seeing their confidence grow in productions. The self-belief gained is so key and is transferable with all that they do. Many congratulations to you all.”
