Mrs Tracy Brooks originally set herself the mammoth personal challenge of running 2000 miles in 2020 to raise money for Beyond Ourselves, a charity close to her heart. However, there was no stopping her and she decided to increase this to 2020 miles which she completed, doing the final run with her family, on New Year’s Eve!

Last year Neil and Tracy Brooks both accompanied a group of Lower Sixth pupils from Cranleigh School on a life changing trip to Zambia. Having seen first-hand the huge difference that Beyond Ourselves make by providing education and literacy training to Zambian children, Mrs Brooks set herself this impressive target.

She is an avid runner but sadly was not able to race for most of 2020 (for obvious reasons) combined with having had 6 weeks off following a little op at the beginning of the year and work being a bit busier than usual!

We are in awe of Mrs Brooks, not only for completing her 2020 miles, but also for significantly exceeding her original fundraising target.  She’s now raised an amazing £2,335 for Beyond Ourselves.
