At the beginning of term, we relaunched our pupil rewards system. Previously, pupils had been given Stars for academic work whereas now they are given (virtual) Carrots!
With our new system, children are rewarded for all positive behaviour shown around the school. They may receive a Carrot for a range of reasons, including academic performance, being polite or helpful, representing the school or being kind.
All members of staff can award Carrots including teachers, sports staff, catering staff and Mrs Cooke on Reception.
Today in assembly, the following Carrot related news was announced:
- This half term, an amazing 11750 Carrots have been earned across the entire Prep School.
- The average number of Carrots earned this half term by the boys was 38 and by the girls was 39!
- So far, 139 pupils have earned their Bronze Carrot Award and 29 have their Silver Carrot Award.
- The top Carrot achievers in the school so far are Freddie (2RS), Huxley (1U) and Joshua (2LS).
- All 104 pupils who were awarded Dining Room Carrots as part of the October Dining Room Challenge were given a tub of ice cream at lunch.
- Form 2RS achieved the highest total of Carrots this term and were treated to a delicious lunch in the Hub, served from a visiting Pizza Van.
