CPS swimmers qualified for nine events at the IAPS National Finals

June at the London Aquatics Centre, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

This year the CPS team consisted of an elite selection of 36 boys and girls who participated in the U10-U13 individual and relay categories, with most races listing over 148 entries per event.

Many of the CPS swim squad included children who had stepped up a year group to help consolidate relay teams and we are very grateful for their commitment.

Well done to all the swim squad team who took part in the preliminary regional round and many congratulations to those who have qualified through to the top 20 positions in the country for the finals in June.  They include:-

Girls U13 Medley Relay Team – 14th – Isla A (girls capt), Sophie S, Sasha P, Anastasia L

Girls U13 Freestyle Relay Team – 15th – Isla, Sophie S, Sasha P, Anastasia L

Girls U11 50m Individual Backstroke – Siena R –  15th

Girls U13 50m Individual Backstroke – Isla A. – 16th

Girls U13 25m Individual Butterfly – Sasha P – 16th

Boys U12 50m Individual Freestyle – Jamie T – 1st

Boys U12 25m Individual Butterfly – Ted S – 16th

Boys U12 Medley Relay Team – 18th – Jamie T, Ted S.  Rory S, Thomas & Archie H.

Boys U12 Freestyle Relay Team – 19th –  Jamie T, Ted S.  Rory S, Thomas & Archie H.

Kelvin Jones, Head of Cranleigh School Swimming says “I’m pleased to see all our swimmers hard work is paying off.  I hope every swimmer/team can improve on their seeded positions at the finals’’.
