Many congratulations to Jessica and William who achieved some fantastic results whilst competing at the English Ski Championships in Bormio during half-term.
Jessica, who is currently in Form 2, came 7th overall in the U10 Giant Slalom and Combi events. This is particularly impressive as she’s only just entered this two year banding and came second overall in her particular year group, which bodes very well for next year’s events.
Edward, currently in Form 4, also did very well in the U12 events. After an initial fall in his first race, he still managed to finish in the top 20 (19th) Combi and reached the last 16 (9th=) of the slalom knockout races.
We are extremely proud of Edward and Jessica as most of the boys and girls ahead of them are either based full-time in the Alps, or at professional skiing academies during the winter season (12-14 weeks).
