On Friday, all pupils and staff gathered on the Quad for a magnificent Farewell Tea Party for Mike and Carolyn.
The area was filled with long tables of happy children, enjoying a fabulous tea, including cupcakes made by pupils. Mike and Carolyn then gave out certificates to the winners of the Cupcake Competition.
We were then treated to three excellent poems, written for the Wilsons. Many congratulations to Archie M & Felix C, Charlie D and Ollie S who all read us their poems with confidence and poise.
Charlie and Georgie, our Head boy and Head girl, presented Mike and Carolyn with a stunning leather album, filled with photographs of every class, surrounded by messages from all the children in the school.
The Chamber Choir sang the Seaside Samba beautifully before Hannah S presented Mike and Carolyn with a CD of the Chamber Choir, apparently one of their joint favourite CDs.
Kitty S and Harry H then presented Mike with a giant toblerone – a firm favourite of his! The afternoon finished with a rousing three cheers for Mr and Mrs Wilson. It was a very happy, memorable and festive occasion that we hope will be a fond memory for Mike and Carolyn after all they have done for us here at CPS.
