The House Music Competition is always a music highlight of the year, giving opportunities for everyone in the school to take part in class heats and win points for their House. After the heats we celebrated the individual successes of some very talented performers in a festival day of finals.

Beginning with Strings and Guitars, this year’s winners were Charlotte T, Anna C, Max D and Hannah S.  Victorious in the Wind and Brass final were Cecilia B, Oliver M, Alex W, Miles T and Oliver W.

Singing winners were Thomas D, Maddie B, Lottie J-P and Maisie R.  The top pianists and percussionists were Ava S, Ted C, Alice P, Charlie P and Lily H.

The prize for the most promising performer went to Jamie T who performed in three finals.

When all of the points were added up, Hearts won the overall competition, with Spades a close second place. It was wonderful to see more than 85 children taking part in the finals, and to welcome parents and friends to see them in action.

Audience members were really impressed with the maturity, professionalism and talent on display and everyone felt very proud of their successes.
