CPS swimmers had a great start to the term, with an exciting win  of 131 v 121 in their first gala of the year v Feltonfleet.   It was fantastic to see our teams coming 1st and 2nd in eight consecutive events at the start, and finishing 1st in 23 out of 36 races.

The whole team came together brilliantly.  However, there were a few children who really shone.

U11 girls’ team included Ella S and Siena R who swam up a year group to complete a team, as well as competing in 50m individual races. Both girls came in 1st and 2nd positions for their individual events.  Baye H-D stepped in when there was a last minute illness to make up a relay race.

A particular mention to James M, who came 1st in breastroke, for the U11 boys’ team. Rory S swam up a year for the U12 boys’ team and came 1st in 50m backstroke.

Four swimmers achieved new personal best 50m freestyle times:  Jamie T (33.09), Lily H (33.37) and Max C (37.38).  A special congratulations to Kyarra S who’s new pb was 32.66.

The U11 boys’ and U12 girls’ relay teams really showed their strength in their events, coming 1st in both.
