Last week, we were delighted to welcome the winners of the Locality Schools Writing Competition from Wonersh and Shamley Green Primary School to Cranleigh.  The children entered a range of writing, based on the title, “A place where I feel free.”

Cliff McNish, author and Cranleigh Prep School Patron of Reading, introduced the event and told us some fascinating stories about his career as an author.  Cliff and Kate Schutte, Head of English, then read excerpts of the winning writing to the assembled audience.

Each winning pupil was given a signed copy of My Friend Twigs by Cliff McNish, having enjoyed a fabulous afternoon tea in Keppie.
