Many congratulations to William M, currently in Form 3, who was awarded two medals, in different sections, at the Regional Trampolining Championships held in Gillingham on Sunday.
Since joining the Gatwick Flyers Trampoling Club in 2016, William has been training under the guidance of two Level 5 High Performance coaches for four hours per week, to fit in with his school schedule, plus fortnightly conditioning sessions and specialist DMT coaching.
William’s skills are going from strength to strength. After being awarded the Gold Medal for his Trampolining NDP routine at a South East Regional Competition in October, he has now received a Gold Medal for the DMT (Double Mini Trampoline) and a Silver Medal for the Trampoline, competing in the National Development Pathway Level 1.
His performance in the DMT means that he has now qualified for the National Championships at the National Indoor Centre at Birmingham (the Barclaycard Arena) in June, where he will also represent the South East Region in the Regional Finals. Form Tutor, Gareth Simpson, says “This is a brilliant result and we look forward to hearing how William progresses at the Nationals in the summer.”
